This year, the artist and designer supported by Turquality, Hussein Chalayan's
work is taking place in the Pavilion of Turkey at the International Venice Biennial, which is one of the most important art events of the world that keeps going on for more than 100 years. The Pavilion of Turkey realized under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and sponsored by Garanti Bank and shop&miles&club is expected to attract a great number of visitors during the Biennial (12 June-6 November 2005). Hussein Chalayan will take place with his interdisciplinary work he created based on his knowledge on identity, place, genetic, biology and anthropology, at the Pavilion of Turkey which will be at the Levi Foundation building on the Canale Grande.

Beral Madra will be the commissar and the curator and Murat Pilevneli will hold the coordination and the production of the project, which will be realized under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey. The Venice Biennial Pavilion of Turkey is realised with the collaboration of Istanbul Bilgi University and IKSV (Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts).
