Denizyildizlari Project

Denizyildizlari Project started in 1998 with contributions of Garanti employees and friends and in 1999 the first Denizyildizlari Primary School was opened. Located in Darica on the outskirts of Istanbul, the school, with 6.030 m2 of covered and 6.300 m2 of open space, teaches 1,130 students in 32 classrooms and other units.

"Denizyildizlari Project" continues to move ahead quickly. The second Denizyildizlari school is expected to be completed and ready for the 2003-2004 school year. Located 3 km away from the Denizyildizlari Primary School, the new school is a well designed campus that includes kindergarten, primary and high school.

This project makes an important contribution to the future of Turkey. We are certain that the graduates of these schools will become key participants of a modern and enlightened society.

We would like to thank all the employees and customers who have contributed to this project. It is perhaps the first such model in Turkey, showing that voluntary individual donations can add up to something very significant.

Basic Education Programs

Garanti which makes donations to Turkish universities, grants scholarships to university students also sponsors various sports events.
