Overdraft

Open an Overdraft through Online Banking and be able to pay your bills and withdraw money even if there is not sufficient balance in your account.

Features

• When you do not have sufficient balance in your account, you can use your Overdraft credit line. You can use your Paracard to withdraw up to your Overdraft credit limit 24 hours a day.
• You can perform any type of banking transactions such as money transfers, Utility Bill Payments or regular payments on time.
• Your negative balance is closed whenever money is deposited in the Current Account that is connected to your Overdraft. Interest is charged only for the days that the credit line is actually used.
• Interest rate charges during one month will automatically be withdrawn from your account in the following month.
• The statement that shows your balance and interest rates is sent to your contact address at the end of every month. The flat fee of TL 3+taxes is charged for the Overdraft Statement.
• Overdraft interest rate is 4.75% as of 01/06/2008. For example if you withdraw TL 1,000 against your Overdraft, your daily interest charge will be TL 1.90.

Important!

The result of your Overdraft application will be e-mailed to you within five days. You can also find out about the status of the application by calling 444 0 333 Alo Garanti.

If your application is approved, you will need to visit your branch together with your identification and evidence of income and sign the documents. If necessary, your branch may ask for a guarantor.

To open or to increase the limit of your Overdraft, you need to visit your branch.

Overdraft application may be made from the "Overdraft Account Application" option on the Online Banking.

If you don't have an account with Garanti yet, please visit the nearest Garanti branch. After opening an account, with just a single signature you can start using Online Banking the same day.

Overdraft interest rate is 4.99% as of 01/03/2009. For example if you withdraw TL 1,000 against your Overdraft, your daily interest charge will be TL 1.91.
