Repo

Repo is a transaction in which the participant sells securities such as T-Bills or Government Bonds and agrees to repurchase them after a specified time.

• You can place Repo orders on weekdays from 10:00 to 14:00.
• The minimum for Repo transactions is TL 5,000 through Garanti branches and TL 250 through other channels. This minimum may vary depending on current conditions however.

You can make your Repo transactions through Garanti Paramatik ATMs (Turkish menu), Online Banking (Turkish Internet Branch - garanti.com.tr) and 444 0 333 Alo Garanti.

Foreign nationals who are residing in Turkey shall submit their passport or residence permit and tax identification number to the bank in order to perform Repo. Non resident individuals or legal entities, in addition to the documents mentioned above, shall also submit a notarized evidence issued by the official public institutions in their own country indicating that all their worldwide income is subject to taxation in the country where they reside.
